BEST BOTOX® AND DYSPORT® IN DUBUQUE
As we age, fine lines and wrinkles on the face, around the eyes, and forehead become more noticeable. At first, they only appear when we express ourselves by frowning or laughing. However, those lines become more prominent as we age, even when our faces are at rest. Dynamic wrinkles result from repeated facial movements that form creases or lines in the skin. Neurotoxins such as Botox and Dysport can reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles by giving both men and women a smoother, younger-looking complexion and are increasingly used by younger patients for natural-looking wrinkle prevention.

ABOUT BOTOX® COSMETIC
Facial wrinkles commonly form when we make simple expressions, such as squinting or furrowing our eyebrows. When injected, Botox softens these wrinkles and fine lines by inhibiting the contractions of certain facial muscles. After the injections, wrinkles in the treatment area will diminish and the skin will appear smoother. Botox also helps to prevent further wrinkles and lines from developing.

Botox Cosmetic injections can improve the appearance of crow’s feet, forehead lines, frown lines, and smile lines. Botox treatments take 15-20 minutes with Dr. Givens, Physician Assistant Injector Katie, or Nurse Injector Kassy and require no downtime. You can receive treatment during your lunch break or just before picking up the kids from school! And within a few short days, you can enjoy age-defying results. Botox is available at Faces Medspa in Dubuque, Iowa.
ABOUT DYSPORT®
Dysport is an approved treatment to temporarily improve the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet lines in adults.

Dysport targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, moving the forehead muscles, and squinting over the years. Your Faces Medspa injector will treat these muscles with Dysport to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines between your brows.
Getting Dysport in Dubuque is a fast, effective way of smoothing out wrinkles. Similar to Botox, Dr. Givens or Nurse Injector Kassy can perform most procedures in less than 30 minutes, allowing you to move on with your daily life. Patients notice results in as little as two to five days, and results may last up to four months.
HOW MUCH DOES BOTOX COST?
Botox and Dysport in Dubuque are two of the most cost-effective anti-aging treatments available. It is priced per unit, with a single unit costing $15 on average across the United States.

This is where a little math comes into play, as the number of Botox and Dysport units required to achieve your desired results can significantly impact your overall costs. If your Dubuque injector estimates that you'll need about 20 units of Botox in Dubuque to treat forehead wrinkles, it could cost you around $300.

However, it should be noted that the number of units received will vary. Some people may require more units than others, especially for men. Because the muscle activity in a man's face is stronger, they will require more units to restrain them and might need 15 units on each side of his eyes to get rid of crow's feet, 20 units to get rid of forehead wrinkles, and 30 units to get rid of wrinkles. A woman, on the other hand, might require far less.

It may be tempting to choose the least expensive Botox in Dubuque. But, before you sign up for a low-cost Botox treatment, it is important to know that your Botox should be administered by someone familiar with facial structure and how it can work in conjunction with your underlying bone structure. Your results are at the hand of your injector.
WHERE IS BOTOX & DYSPORT INJECTED?
Botox is commonly used in the cosmetic industry for a variety of reasons. It is most commonly injected in the forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet lines, and vertical 11 lines.
Forehead wrinkles are the most common site among the three where botox is injected and are commonly referred to as frown lines. It's natural for these wrinkles to form because the forehead muscles are constantly used, and the skin is constantly under stress.
Frown lines are one of the first signs of aging, which is why it is the first to be addressed. There is no need for anesthesia for Botox and Dysport appointments because the treatment is simple, quick, and effective. It's possible that the results will last for up to six months.
Crow's feet are an unfortunate but unavoidable symptom of growing older, while fine lines form at the corners of the eyes as a result of constant muscle use. Botox and Dysport injections can effectively reduce these wrinkles without stretching the skin, restoring the youthful appearance of younger, healthier skin.
Vertical 11 Lines are the two forehead creases that appear between the brows when you frown. Botox and Dysport can help reduce the depth of these wrinkles while also smoothing them out.

These are the top areas on the face where Dysport and Botox are injected. Other procedures, such as chin lifts and botox injections around the lips, are possible. Another popular treatment is a browlift using Botox.
Botox in Dubuque is still one of the most popular treatments for achieving great cosmetic results, such as smoother, younger-looking skin free of fine wrinkles.
DOES BOTOX HURT?
Like any needle injection, Botox can cause minor discomfort. Because of the varying sensitivities among patients’ skin, you may feel quick pinches of pain with some injections or none at all. Either way, the discomfort is short-lived and will only last a few seconds. The entire treatment only lasts about 5-10 minutes. And if you’re especially worried, the area can be numbed with a topical anesthetic cream or cold pack.
One of the reasons Botox causes minimal pain is because the needles are very, very small. Our Dubuque injectors use needles that are about a 30 gauge. For reference, this needle size is very similar to what diabetics use on a daily basis for their insulin shots.

What do neuromodulators do?Neuromodulators (including Botox and Dysport) relax the muscles and reduce fine lines and wrinkles in the face and neck. These treatments combat forehead lines, glabella lines ("11's" between the brows), crows feet (around the eyes), smile lines, neck lines, and other wrinkles associated with aging. They can also be used to help sculpt and lift facial features including for a nonsurgical brow lift and a nonsurgical neck lift.
-
What is the difference between BOTOX and Dysport? While BOTOX and Dysport both use the same substance (botulinum toxin A) and are based on the same mechanism of action, the size of the molecules in the injections are significantly different. Dysport contains smaller molecules of botulinum toxin type A than BOTOX. - Dysport can spread through your cells more easily - Dysport may begin working slightly faster than BOTOX - Results from Dysport and Botox last for a similar amount of time
-
How many units of Botox will I need? How many units of Dysport will I need? The amount of units needed can differ from person to person depending upon your desired outcome, the area of concern to be treated, the strength of the muscles in the area, and whether the treatment is for prevention or to treat existing fine lines and wrinkles and their severity.
-
When will I see results from Botox and Dysport? Most patients can expect to notice early results of Dysport between two to five days following treatment, while results from Botox may take seven to fourteen days. The degree of muscle relation can continue to evolve for about two weeks and the results last for three to four months. The longer the BOTOX treatments have been routinely performed, the more relaxed the facial wrinkles will appear over time. Results of Dysport are similar, but often with a slightly quicker onset of action.
-
How long does Botox last? How long does Dysport last? Results may vary based upon the dose given, as well as on muscle strength of the area and metabolism, as our bodies metabolize (or break down) the Neuromodulators over time. Treatment to maintain your results are recommend every three to four months. Using medical grade skin care products at home as part of a daily skin care regime can help to maintain your results and improve the appearance and quality of your skin.

Who are good candidates for BOTOX and Dysport?BOTOX and Dysport have been proven safe and effective for treatment of a wide variety of patient and wrinkle types, however, the earlier the treatment is started, the more favorable the results can be.
