Meet the people who make up our incredible team!
Katie Knapp, PA-C
Aesthetic PA
Katie graduated from the University of Iowa with a Professional Master in Nursing in Healthcare Practice and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Before joining the Faces team Katie worked in family practice and primary care. Katie has been with Givens MD | Faces Medspa from the very beginning playing a variety of key roles behind the scenes as well as working with patients as an injector. Katie has a passion for talking with patients and forming long-lasting relationships. When she is not in the office, Katie enjoys running, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Heather Clark, RN, BSN
Nursing Manager
Heather earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clarke University and has been a valued member of the Faces Medspa team for three years. In her role, she primarily assists Dr. Givens, both in the clinic and during surgical procedures. Heather's treatment of choice is the HydraFacial, which she credits for rejuvenating her skin's appearance and feel. Outside of work, Heather cherishes time with her family, enjoys reading, and loves staying active outdoors.
Bailey Kluesner, RN, BSN
Aesthetic Nurse
Bailey graduated from Mount Mercy University as a Registered Nurse in 2018. After graduation, she worked as an Intensive Care nurse for two years and a Travel Nurse for 1 1/2 years. Bailey's passion for health and beauty inspired her to explore a different avenue of nursing which led her to join the Faces Medspa team in 2022. Bailey's favorite part of her job is helping others to become a more happy, comfortable, and confident version of themselves. Bailey enjoys assisting Dr. Givens with cosmetic surgeries, injectables, and lasers. Bailey states, "It is a privilege to be a part of our patients aesthetic journey and to witness our patients reactions is an unmatched feeling. Her favorite products are Intellishade because it provides five amazing benefits within one product, and Phyto A+ Brightening Treatment due to its soothing and brightening properties. Outside of Faces, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their Golden Retriever Winston, traveling, and staying active.
Katelynn "Kat" Knipper, PA-C
Aesthetic PA
Kat holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Luther College and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Dubuque. Initially, Kat specialized as a cardiothoracic surgery PA, later transitioning to ENT Head & Neck Surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Givens. In 2022, she joined the Faces Medspa team, where she supports Dr. Givens both in the operating room and in postoperative management, focusing on cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Kat’s favorite treatment is the BBL/Moxi, complemented by a custom skincare regimen that has significantly improved her skin. Outside of her professional life, Kat is an avid hiker, often accompanied by her husband and their two border collies. She also enjoys yoga, reading, traveling, and delving into true crime podcasts.
Kassandra Moore, RN, BSN
Aesthetic Nurse
Kassandra "Kassy" is one of our incredible aesthetic injectors at Givens MD | Faces Medspa. Kassy is a native of Dubuque who graduated from NICC as a Registered Nurse in 2017. After graduating, she worked as an Emergency Room Nurse for 5 years until discovering her new passion for aesthetics. Kassy provides neurotoxins, dermal filler, and AquaGold, among other things, to her patients at Faces Medspa. Kassy prides herself on the competency, efficiency, and professionalism she provides to all her patients. Kassy’s goal is to treat patients with genuine kindness and respect while also helping them achieve their aesthetic goals through effective and safe treatments so that patients can look and feel their best. Outside of Faces Medspa you can find Kassy at home cuddling her puppy Jax, binge-watching Harry Potter with her husband Daniel, teaching a cycling class at Soul Revolution, or reading a book on her patio.
Carlee Beck, LME
Licensed Aesthetician and Laser Technician
Carlee joined Faces Medspa in April of 2021 as a receptionist while finishing school. Here is where she found her passion and love for all things laser. Carlee is originally from Des Moines, she now lives in Dubuque and works as a licensed aesthetician running the lasers for Faces Medspa. Carlee is always willing to grow and expand her knowledge in all things aesthetics. She enjoys making her patients happy, by getting the results they want. Her favorite treatment is a BBL and Halo combination because the results are tremendous! On her off days, she enjoys spending time outdoors, at the gym, getting coffee, or out walking her dog.
Madison Knockel, LME
Licensed Aesthetician
Madison "Madi" joined the Faces team as a licensed aesthetician. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science and a minor in History from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Following her undergraduate studies, she pursued an Esthetics program at Capri College in Dubuque.
Her interest in the aesthetic industry was sparked by her own experiences with severe acne, driving her to focus on treatments that offer both relief and results. This personal journey has instilled in her a deep understanding of her clients' needs and the transformative power of aesthetic treatments.
Madi finds joy in the diversity of her daily tasks and the opportunity to connect with her patients. Her favorite part of the job is the camaraderie with her amazing coworkers. She loves performing chemical peels, and she swears by Silymarin for its glowing results. Her preferred personal treatment is BBL acne therapy, which has been instrumental in managing her PIH and active breakouts.
Outside of work, Madi enjoys reading, participating in side-by-side riding with her family, watching reality TV, exploring the outdoors, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
Leah Krueger
Patient Coordinator
Leah has her bachelor's degree in Business Management from UNI - GO PANTHERS! She was previously in the manufacturing world for ten years. In addition to working at Faces Medspa, Leah also works as a part-time photographer. Although her path to the aesthetic world isn't a typical one. She says she had always loved trying and learning new skin care treatments & products from when she was a little girl experimenting with her mom's Revision products at home. She says, “Being part of the ever-changing aesthetic industry continues to fuel my passion for all things beauty & skin care!” When asked about her favorite part of working at Faces Medspa she said, “I absolutely love learning about new, up & coming products & services within the skin care world. I also enjoy everyone I work with and visiting with our patients. The energy here is contagious, in a way, in that patients are here to try something new or continue what makes them feel beautiful - it's fun to be part of that journey for them!”
Janel Kluesner
Patient Coordinator
Janel is an experienced educator and certified parenting coach who has recently embarked on a new journey in the world of aesthetics. She holds a degree in Elementary Education from Loras College and spent 25 years in the teaching profession, where she developed a deep understanding of individual needs and the importance of nurturing growth.
Transitioning to the aesthetic industry, Janel joined Faces and has experienced a remarkable transformation in her own skin, which has fueled her passion for skincare. Her commitment to personal and professional growth in aesthetics is driven by the visible changes she has witnessed and the advanced skincare techniques she has embraced at Faces.
Janel is a Jai Certified parenting coach, which complements her role at Faces by enhancing her ability to connect on a personal level with clients. She values heart-to-heart connections and finds inspiration in the stories of men and women who are dedicated to taking care of their skin and aging gracefully.
Janel's favorite treatment is AquaGold treatment, though she finds it difficult to choose just one favorite. When she isn't at Faces, Janel continues to apply her coaching skills and educational background to foster strong relationships and promote wellness in all aspects of life.
